Disability Assessment Training for Laikipia County Health Workers

July 21 @ 8:00 am - July 24 @ 5:00 pm

Naromoru Disabled Children’s Home is pleased to announce a Disability Assessment Training for health workers from Laikipia County, scheduled to take place from 21st to 24th July 2026 at The Nickolee Hotel. This four-day training program is part of the organization’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the capacity of healthcare professionals to deliver quality, inclusive, and person-centered disability services within their communities.

The training will provide participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in disability assessment, early identification of developmental and physical disabilities, functional evaluation, and appropriate referral procedures. Through expert-led presentations, interactive discussions, practical demonstrations, and case-based learning, participants will gain valuable skills that will enable them to better identify and respond to the needs of individuals living with disabilities.

By bringing together health workers from across Laikipia County, the program will also foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the adoption of best practices in disability care. Strengthening the skills of frontline healthcare providers is essential in ensuring timely intervention, improved access to rehabilitation services, and enhanced quality of life for children and adults with disabilities.

Naromoru Disabled Children’s Home remains committed to partnering with county governments and healthcare stakeholders to promote inclusive healthcare systems and improve disability services throughout Kenya. We look forward to welcoming all participants to The Nickolee Hotel for four days of meaningful learning, professional development, and collaboration in support of better disability care.
